We are on Lufthansa airlines going to Europe and United coming back. Air transportation was part of the Viking Cruise package. There was a significant discount over purchasing the airline tickets separately. The trip was two legs – Newark to Munich, and Munich to Venice (actually, the port of Fusina, Italy). Newark to Munich was an 8 hour flight, then a one hour layover, then a one hour flight to Venice / Port of Fusina.

On our way with our old standby airport transportation, Air Brook. Reliable, punctual, friendly, and comfortable. And reasonably priced.

Much to our surprise, the lines did move along and we had one benefit to being TSA pre-check approved.

Perfect timing as all is on schedule, and we were assured to be fed on the 8 hour flight, food was being brought to the plane!

Breakfast – oatmeal with chia seeds 😉

Many hours (many, many hours!) later, we are almost in Munich with 32 minutes to arrival. (And we didn’t see Nancy as we were flying over. Hi Nancy!)

Rest stop and plane change for Munich to Venice. Did Dan have a donut and coffee? You bet!

April 29th …At long last…Venice is here!
